US President Donald Trump has now said that Apple has agreed to work with Intel to design and produce chips for their devices. This is also expected to allow Apple to reduce its dependence on TSMC for chip production.
With this cooperation, it will also ensure that Intel has a long-term production contract, while Apple can shift some production to the United States and not rely on outside, especially China and its allies.
For now, Intel and Apple have not issued an official statement. For your information, the US government has a stake of about 10% in Intel.
