X Introduces Video Reaction Feature for iOS Devices

X (Twitter) for iOS users is now receiving a new feature called ‘Video Reaction’. Through this function, users can react to any post on X using their own video recording. The feature was officially announced by X via a tweet yesterday.

Here’s how it works: when users see a post on X, they can choose to react not just with text or emoji, but with a short video recording. This reaction video will be displayed alongside the original post, making it more engaging and resembling the video response style on other platforms such as TikTok or Instagram Reels.

The shared example shows some editing tools similar to Reels and TikTok. Users can choose the response style either background, overlapping or top-down. In addition, there are additional icons representing functions such as switching the front or rear camera, activating the flash and audio controls.

This function is now also available for users in Malaysia. Based on our tests, it is quite easy to use as you only need to select to ‘quote’ any post you want to react to then record a video response directly using the phone’s camera
