The Huawei Pura 90 series will be launched to the global market on July 14 with an event to be held in Kuala Lumpur. The series of devices consists of the Huawei Pura 90 Pro, Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max and Huawei Pura 90, each focusing on flagship photography capabilities.
The Huawei Pura 90 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch OLED screen display, while the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max packs a 6.9-inch OLED screen display with the same FHD+ resolution as the base model, and leverages LTPO refresh technology for more efficient battery consumption.
Huawei Pura 90 Pro
Powering both devices is Huawei's latest processing chip, the Kirin 9030S. Huawei says that with this chip, the Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max devices come with 200 percent better AI capabilities for image understanding, a 43 percent improvement in the AI color engine, a 110 percent improvement in the accuracy of telephoto images taken, and a 30 percent improvement in AI anti-shake capabilities.
The memory and storage offerings on both models are also the same as what was shown on the Huawei Pura 90.
Huawei Pura 90 Pro Ma
The Huawei Pura 90 Pro camera system consists of a 12.5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor, and supports a variable aperture range of f1.4-f4.0 with optical image stabilization (OIS) and RYYB color spectrum. The third camera is a 50MP telephoto camera with 4X optical zoom and 8x optical zoom.
As for the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, it comes with a 50MP main camera with LOFIC technology, 10-stop physically variable aperture and OIS. The ultra-wide-angle camera comes with a 40MP sensor with f2.2 aperture.
Meanwhile, the Huawei Pura 90 comes with a 6.8″ OLED screen at FHD+ resolution, 120Hz LTPO and 300Hz touch detection. It is protected by durable Kunlun Glass to prevent damage if the device is dropped.

It is powered by the same Kirin 9010S processing chip seen on the Huawei Pura 80 series of devices, up to 16GB of memory, up to 512GB of storage and a 6500 mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
In terms of camera offerings, the Huawei Pura 90 is loaded with a 50MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12.5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the front camera is also 50MP.
