Following the introduction of the update to the International Malaysian Passport, the Malaysian Immigration Department has now also opened applications for the International Malaysian Passport with a validity period of 10 years. However, for applications with a validity period of 10 years, applicants must appear in person at the Malaysian Immigration Department office, and it is not yet open for applications via MyOnline Passport.
For online applications via MyOnline Passport, the validity period is still limited to 5 years for now.
For a validity period of 10 years, a fee of RM350 is charged for the application, and is limited to applicants aged 18 and above to 59 years. For applicants under 18 years of age, you are not eligible to apply for a passport with a validity period of 10 years.
For citizens aged 60 and above, the fee charged is RM175, while for disabled persons aged 18 and above, it is offered free of charge.
