Microsoft Tests Cloud Rebuild Feature to Make Windows 11 Reinstallation Easier

Recently, the Windows Insider program has received a new feature update to test, and among them is the Cloud Rebuild feature, which allows users to reset the Windows 11 operating system to the most stable version, even if the original operating system is not working properly.

In short, the Cloud Rebuild feature is the same as Reset This PC, except that it will download not only the latest stable version of the operating system, but can also download the driver software that was previously installed on the computer. The Cloud Rebuild function can be accessed through the Windows Recovery Environment which is usually displayed when the Windows 11 operating system needs to be “repaired” before it can be used.

Another advantage of Cloud Rebuild is that users do not need a USB drive with the Windows 11 ISO file to use this feature, but it also means that your computer will need to make sure that your computer is connected to the internet using a cable connection or WiFi for Cloud Reboot to download the files needed for the reinstallation.

This feature is seen as useful if you can't access your original operating system, and want a quick and easy way to install a new operating system without having to use installation software. For companies with problematic computers, they can also use the Cloud Reset feature to remotely reinstall the operating system.

It is currently unknown when Microsoft will introduce this feature for the full version of Windows 11.
