The Steam Machine has only been on sale for a few weeks, and it's not surprising that some users are having trouble using it, and don't know what to do.
That's what happened to a user on Reddit who reported that he was having trouble with the LED light flashing red when he tried to use it. The error message that the Steam Machine was showing was related to an issue with the graphics processing chip built into the console.
He reportedly tried various ways to fix the issue, but was almost giving up when Steam hardware customer service came up with steps that could be taken to fix the issue.
According to them, this red light issue usually indicates a power-cycling issue that requires users to reset the CMOS battery built into the console. The process suggested by the customer service account seems to take a while because the console's memory needs to be loaded with information about the console before it can be used again.
The Reddit user said that the console is now usable again after shutting it down and unplugging it from the power plug overnight, before restarting it the next day.
