We previously reported that NVIDIA will soon launch the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super series of graphics cards as an update to their Blackwell-class graphics card series. It is expected that NVIDIA will introduce the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Super and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Super series of graphics cards.
These graphics cards will not only come with an update to a more powerful graphics processing chip, but also the use of new 3GB GDDR7 memory, which promises a higher amount and speed of memory than before.
VideoCardz has reported that technically, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super graphics processing chips have already been shipped to NVIDIA's graphics card manufacturing partners, although the details of who these partners are are not officially known yet. The production of the graphics cards is currently delayed due to the alleged supply issue of the 3GB GDDR7 memory component.
As we all know, the supply of GDDR and HBM class memory components is showing supply issues as they are used to develop AI inference components and data centers with a focus on artificial intelligence.
Apart from supply, there is also the issue of the price of this GDDR7 3GB memory component. When compared to 2GB GDDR7 memory, the price tag for each of these new memory modules is three times more expensive than the lower-end modules.
Many expect that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super graphics card series will still be launched this year, but the official announcement about it, as well as the price tag of this graphics card series, will still be known in the near future.
