OpenAI has launched its first hardware, the Codex Micro, a small keyboard designed specifically to control their artificial intelligence (AI) agent Codesx. It features quick shortcut buttons that make it easy to access several Codex functions instantly. The Codex Micro was developed in collaboration with Work Louder and features multiple shortcut buttons to control agents with just one dedicated button.
Users can program buttons to their own macros to perform specific tasks without having to type long. There are 13 physical keys, on the touchpad, a scroll wheel and an analog controller.
Each buyer will receive 32 keyboards with different icons for specific functions. Two options are provided, one with a silent switch and another with a louder switch.
Six of the buttons also have built-in lights that can light up in six colors to indicate the status or notifications provided by the agent. Pre-orders for the Codex Micro are open with each keyboard selling for $230 (~RM 937) each.
