U Mobile introduces ULTRA Tourist Plan, a special prepaid plan for foreign tourists visiting Malaysia. This plan is designed to help them enjoy their travels more easily and stay connected throughout their stay in the country.
ULTRA Tourist Plan offers a seven-day validity with 100GB of high-speed data for only RM15. In addition, this plan also supports the use of hotspots, thus allowing tourists to share the internet with other devices. Interestingly, this plan comes in collaboration with Grab Malaysia where every tourist who subscribes will receive a Grab Visit Malaysia 2026 Travel Pass worth up to RM186.
This pass contains 22 Grab vouchers which include travel discounts such as airport rides, EV rides, GrabRent and GrabExec, food discounts via GrabFood and Grab Dine Out, as well as shopping discounts at GrabMart. This collaboration also reflects U Mobile’s commitment to supporting the Malaysian tourism industry, especially in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026 by offering access to modern technology that can enhance the tourist experience while in the country.
To redeem, users need to obtain an 8-digit code sent to the email address registered with U Mobile. Next, download the Grab app and register an account using a phone number from your home country (not a Malaysian number) and a foreign credit or debit card. Once the account is successfully registered, select the Buy Travel Pass menu in the Grab app and enter the 8-digit code in the ‘promo code’ field to redeem the voucher.
It is important to note that the Grab account must be registered with a non-Malaysian phone number to ensure that the OTP can be received and the redemption process can be carried out successfully.
