Garmin has launched two new smartwatches with the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro. Both are additions to its sports watch series, making its product line more attractive to active lifestyle enthusiasts.
The Garmin Fenix 9 comes with a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen combined with a titanium bezel, sapphire glass and leak-proof metal buttons. It also offers a water resistance level of up to 40 meters, adding a premium value to the design.
The watch is equipped with health features such as ECG to detect AFib, while maintaining standard training functions including Training Readiness, Endurance Score and Hill Score. Its battery can last up to 29 days, while 64GB of internal storage is provided for songs and maps.
At the same time, the company introduced new software called Garmin Epic. This software works to combine activities, images and health data into a single timeline. With these features, the user experience becomes more organized and comprehensive.
The Garmin Fenix 9 Pro is a more powerful version than the standard model. It comes with a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits for clearer display in various conditions. Fenix 9 Pro can be used for up to 31 days, which also offers a Pro Solar option that can last up to 57 days through solar charging.
This is suitable for those who want longer use without having to charge frequently. Another feature of Fenix 9 Pro lies in the support for inReach satellite connectivity. This function allows messages to be sent in areas outside of coverage and provides access to interesting SOS. With this feature, Fenix 9 Pro is more suitable for expeditions and outdoor activities.
A check on the official Garmin Malaysia website shows that only the Fenix 9 Pro and Fenix 9 Pro Solar models are listed for RM4,899. The standard version has not yet been displayed and is simply marked as coming soon, which indicates that it may be announced in the near future.
