Honor has now made a surprise announcement, stating that the Honor robot will now be brought to Malaysia to participate in the Malaysia Marathon 2026 running event scheduled for August 30, 2026, as well as participating in the National Day parade in Putrajaya on August 31, 2026.
Malaysia is the first country outside of China to see the Honor robot participate in the event, thus recording an interesting historical moment. Previously, the Honor robot has participated in a marathon event in China, and won by not only defeating human runners, but also other robots.
Two robots will participate in the Malaysia Marathon 2026, namely the Honor Robot A1 and D1. The D1 robot will do the opening event by running 10km starting at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 12 midnight. Meanwhile, the A1 robot will join other runners for a distance of 5km, which starts at 7.30 am at KLCC.
In addition, both robots will also be at Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August 2026 to participate in the 2026 National Day parade and parade. This also makes Honor part of the contingent of the National Day parade in Malaysia, making them the first phone brand to participate in the parade. The public visiting Dataran Putrajaya will also be able to check out and see the robots up close on the day.
