Today, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 has been launched as the first TWS with an easily replaceable earbud battery and charging pod. Both components have screws that allow the battery to be accessed when needed. This is a far cry from the design using pictures that make the replacement process impossible. This feature was given by Sennheiser to meet EU requirements that require electronic device batteries to be replaceable by the owner.
In addition to the easy-to-replace battery, the Momentum True Wireless 5 comes with 7mm TrueResponse audio drivers. There is aptX Lossless and Dolby Atmos support along with head tracking. Six microphones and 2 accelerometers are included to support ANC and provide good conversational audio quality.
Battery life is up to 12 hours without ANC and 40 hours with the help of a charging pod. Each earbud passes the IP54 splash water standard, making it sweat-proof during exercise. Tethering is via Bluetooth 6.0 with support for Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair systems.
