Previously, the Vero name by Acer was often used to indicate that a laptop comes with the use of recycled materials such as PCR (Post Consumer Recyclable) in the majority of the computer model's construction. At the Acer GPC 2026 event, Acer seems to have reintroduced the Vero name, but independently.
The first laptop in this series is the Acer Vero 16, a productivity-class laptop that comes with a concept where users who want it can repair and upgrade the components in it themselves. With this laptop, Acer has also shown the transition to the 4R concept, which is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and now Repairability or recovery/repair.
This laptop also comes with the use of the Intel Core Ultra 300 “Panther Lake” processing chip which promises great computing and gaming performance for laptops in the thin and light class. In terms of memory and storage offerings, Acer says that this laptop can be loaded with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
The Acer Vero 16 comes with a frame made of PCR and low-carbon aluminum, removable hinges and a laptop bottom panel that does not require any accessories or tools such as screwdrivers to open it. This concept makes it easy for users to access internal components quickly and easily if any improvements or repairs need to be made by the user.
In the meantime, the Acer Vero 16 laptop frame is also certified to pass the MIL-STD-810H standard, which promises a strong and durable frame in various types of usage scenarios. This also makes it easier for Acer to introduce various easy-to-repair features on this laptop. In terms of memory and storage offerings, this laptop comes with support for two LPDDR5 memory slots and SSD storage with M.2 2280 size with PCIe 4.0 technology.
Acer will make further announcements about the Acer Vero 16 laptop configuration support as well as the launch date and price later.
