Redmi also announced the launch of the Redmi Note 17 series in Malaysia, thus complementing the Pro model line with a wider range of specifications. This device comes in two versions, namely 5G and 4G, with the main difference being the processor chip. The 5G model uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 while the 4G version is equipped with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2.
The Redmi Note 17 is equipped with a 6.99″ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It also uses the HyperOS 3 operating system which supports artificial intelligence (AI) functions such as AI Creative Assistant, AI Eraser Pro, AI Sky and AI Image Expansion.
The device is equipped with a 7,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and 22.5W reverse. It also offers a 50MP main camera along with a 16MP selfie camera to meet the daily photography needs of users. Other specs include an in-screen fingerprint sensor, NFC support and IP65 durability.
