The MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip has been introduced, featuring TSMC's 2nm technology. It utilizes a "2+3+3 All Big Core" CPU design, combining two C2-Ultra cores clocked up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz, and three C2-Pro cores at 3.1GHz. Consequently, single-core performance has increased by 17% and multi-core performance by 15%, while power efficiency has improved by up to 61% compared to the previous generation.
Additionally, the Dimensity Scheduling Engine manages power and memory usage to ensure smooth performance, while support for LPDDR6 and UFS 5.0 ensures faster read/write speeds. The G2-Ultra NX GPU offers a 27% performance boost, 24% better energy efficiency, and 18% faster Ray Tracing capabilities. With MediaTek HyperEngine, gaming performance can reach up to 185fps for a seamless experience.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro is also equipped with dual NPU units: the 10th-generation MediaTek Super Performance NPU and the eNPU 2.0. This combination boosts performance by up to 51% while improving energy efficiency by up to 40%. With advanced AI support, the chip can handle large-scale models with up to 30 billion parameters, enabling more accurate analysis.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro also features the Imagiq 1290 ISP with AI Imaging Fusion Architecture to produce more balanced images. It supports 4K240 Ultra-Slow-Motion recording, 4K60 with AI True Color Tone, and 4K120 Cinematic Log for cinematic video. With a 17EV dynamic range, photos and videos can be captured with high quality and intricate detail, even in challenging lighting conditions. The first phone with the Dimensity 9600 Pro chip is expected to arrive around the third quarter of 2026.
