Nikon has introduced the Z5IIC, a full-frame mirrorless camera designed for beginners that still offers impressive technical specifications. It utilizes a 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor (FX format) paired with the EXPEED 7 image processing engine, delivering highly detailed image quality.
The Nikon Z5IIC features an AI-powered autofocus system capable of automatic subject detection, including new additions like fish. This feature ensures a smoother photography experience. In-body image stabilization (VR) providing up to 7.5 stops of compensation ensures steady footage, even in challenging conditions.
For video, the camera offers 4K UHD 60fps recording via DX Crop mode and FHD 120fps with support for 4× and 5× slow-motion playback. It also supports H.265 10-bit MOV, N-Log, and 12-bit N-RAW formats, providing greater flexibility for professional video production. USB connectivity (UVC/UAC) allows the camera to function as a webcam, making it versatile for both photography and streaming.
A "Product Review Mode" ensures the autofocus locks onto objects, a feature particularly useful for content creators. The Z5IIC offers continuous shooting at up to 14 frames per second and includes a "Pre-Release Capture" function capable of recording up to one second of footage before the shutter button is fully pressed.
Integration with the SnapBridge app enables automatic image transfer and photography learning simulations, while Nikon Imaging Cloud support simplifies post-shoot data management. A "Film Grain" function adds a classic, film-camera aesthetic to the footage.
The camera also features a magnesium alloy body with dust and water resistance for enhanced durability. It features a 3.2-inch screen with user-friendly touch controls. The Z5IIC will be available in mid-October 2026, priced at $1,399.95 (~RM5,704) for the body only or $1,699.95 (~RM6,927) with the NIKKOR Z 24‑50mm f/4‑6.3 lens.
