OpenAI has temporarily paused new subscriptions for the $200 ChatGPT Pro plan due to high demand following the launch of its latest model, Astra. This surge in demand has resulted in heavy computational usage and placed strain on the infrastructure.
While addressing this issue, OpenAI has suspended new sign-ups for the plan. Users can still subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus plan and utilize the Astra model. OpenAI also emphasized that existing ChatGPT Pro subscribers can continue using their plans without interruption.
