Netflix Raises Subscription Prices for Malaysian Users — Now Ranging from RM19.90 to RM69.90 Per Month



Netflix has unexpectedly announced price hikes across all subscription tiers—including additional member slots—for users in Malaysia. Here are the new Netflix subscription prices in Malaysia:


Mobile: RM19.90/month (previously RM18.90)

Basic: RM33.90/month (previously RM29.90)

Standard: RM55.90/month (previously RM49.90)

Premium: RM69.90/month (previously RM62.90)

The entry-level plan, previously priced at RM18.90 per month, has increased by RM1 to RM19.90 per month. The Netflix Basic plan has risen to RM33.90 per month from the previous RM29.90, an increase of RM4. The Netflix Standard plan has increased by RM6, moving from RM49.90 to RM55.90 per month. The Premium plan has increased from RM62.90 to RM69.90 per month, an increase of RM7.


Netflix stated that these price adjustments are intended to ensure continued service improvements and to allow for the ongoing expansion of its content library with new TV series and movies every week.


Additionally, Netflix has revised the rates for extra member slots. For the Standard plan, users can add one extra member slot for RM14.90 per month (previously RM13.00). Meanwhile, the Premium plan allows for up to two extra member slots, each charged at RM14.90 per month (previously RM13.00).
