The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G was also launched yesterday, marking the arrival of another entry-level smartphone with 4G-only connectivity. It features a 6.7-inch 90Hz SAMOLED display, is powered by the Exynos 1610 chip, and comes with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5000 mAh battery supporting 25W charging. Despite the modest storage capacity, the A18 4G supports microSD card expansion.
The main camera setup consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. A 13MP camera handles selfies on the front. The device launches with One UI 9 based on Android 17 and comes with a 6+6 year support commitment.
The device meets IP64 standards for water and dust resistance and is currently available in France, Norway, and Sweden. In Europe, it is priced at €280 (~RM1,321) per unit. As predicted last year, due to the RAM crisis, devices with lower memory and storage—but featuring microSD support—are making a comeback.
