Apple has updated its MacBook Pro lineup, now offering the latest Apple M6 processor. Currently, the M6 chip is available exclusively for the 14-inch MacBook Pro, while the 16-inch model continues to feature the M5 Pro or M5 Max chip options.
Apple states that this laptop is optimized for AI-driven tasks and can run various Large Language Models (LLMs) locally without any issues. It should be noted that an "AI-powered Siri" is not yet officially available; users will need to utilize alternative LLMs directly on the device. The new 14-inch MacBook Pro supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and offers a battery life of up to 24 hours. The display is a Liquid Retina XDR panel capable of reaching a brightness of 1,600 nits.
The laptop runs on macOS 27 and includes a 12MP Center Stage camera to enhance video calls. Connectivity options include an HDMI port, MagSafe 3, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an audio jack, and an SDXC card slot. The M6-powered MacBook Pro also supports fast charging, capable of reaching a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
In Malaysia, the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro starts at RM8,299. The price can go up to RM17,604 when fully configured with a Nano-Texture display, 32GB of RAM, 4TB of storage, and a 96W fast charger. Pre-orders begin on October 29, 2026, with official sales starting on November 6.
