There is good news for students and public transport users, as the government has agreed to increase the FLYsiswa subsidy to RM500, up from the previous RM400. Introduced in 2024, FLYsiswa facilitates travel for students in Sabah and Sarawak between their homes and educational institutions. This initiative will benefit over 60,000 students at public higher education institutions (IPTA).
Additionally, the My50 service will continue for users of Prasarana’s bus and rail networks in the Klang Valley, benefiting more than 300,000 commuters. MyKomuter50 is also being introduced to benefit 40,000 KTM Komuter users; this facility allows users to save an average of up to RM160 per month. Meanwhile, free passes are being provided to 360,000 schoolchildren, the disabled community (OKU), and children under the age of six.
