The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has blocked over 5.7 billion fraudulent calls and SMS messages. Despite this, incidents of digital fraud remain widespread, with many Malaysians vulnerable to such cases.
The National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) will develop an AI-powered application that allows the public to verify suspicious phone numbers, bank accounts, or links before proceeding with transactions.
The Royal Malaysia Police is also enhancing the Malaysia Internet Crime Against Children system, equipping it with advanced analytics capabilities to detect perpetrators and child sexual exploitation networks at an earlier stage.
In conjunction with this, the MCMC will intensify the implementation of the Safe Internet Campaign across all schools, focusing on addressing cyberbullying and child exploitation.
