Refuelling has become easier with the introduction of the new ‘Voice Fuelling’ feature in the Setel app. True to its name, this function allows users to activate fuel pumps at PETRONAS stations simply by using voice commands.
The feature supports four major languages—Malay, English, Mandarin, and Tamil—making it practical and inclusive for a diverse range of users in Malaysia. Users simply need to open the Setel app, activate Voice Fuelling, and state the pump number; payment is then processed automatically based on existing settings.
Voice Fuelling builds upon the existing ‘One-tap Fuelling’ function but incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) technology to accelerate the process and enhance user-friendliness. It is compatible with all PETRONAS fuel grades, including PRIMAX 95, PRIMAX 97, Dynamic Diesel Euro 5, BUDI95, and subsidized diesel.
This feature became available starting with Setel app version 1.210.0, with the latest update (version 1.211.0) launched on October 9, 2026. This initiative clearly demonstrates Setel’s commitment to introducing user-friendly innovations, thereby strengthening its role in providing practical solutions for the nation's automotive sector.
