You Can Now Pay Using DuitNow QR in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the Philippines, and Laos – via Alipay+

PayNet has announced a partnership with Alipay+, enabling local users to utilize their domestic banking apps to make payments in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the Philippines, and Laos. More countries are expected to be added progressively in the future.

Alipay+ is a payment solution owned by Ant International. While Touch 'n Go eWallet previously supported it, this new partnership with PayNet now allows all local banking apps to facilitate payments by scanning DuitNow QR codes.

Currently, three banks have activated this feature: Maybank, CIMB, and Hong Leong Bank. Bank Islam is expected to follow suit soon.

With this collaboration, whenever you encounter a shop or merchant that supports Alipay+, you can use DuitNow QR to make your payment.

Beyond making it more convenient for locals traveling abroad, this partnership is also expected to simplify the payment process for tourists from these countries when visiting Malaysia, allowing them to pay simply by scanning a QR code.
