Searching for destinations, comparing hotels, and booking flights are all essential steps when planning a vacation—a process that typically involves navigating multiple different platforms. Recognizing this, Agoda has introduced the "Agoda AI Assistant," which consolidates travel planning and booking into a single conversational interface.
Through this feature, users can receive destination recommendations, compare accommodation options, discover restaurants and tourist attractions, and check real-time pricing and availability for flights or accommodations. Bookings can also be made directly via the Agoda app.
For instance, users simply need to specify their destination, travel duration, or planned budget. Based on this information, the AI assistant will suggest suitable accommodation options, flights, and itineraries tailored to the user's preferences and needs.
According to Agoda, this feature has now been rolled out to users across 21 markets, including Malaysia, following an initial limited testing phase. The AI assistant is powered by an AI model from OpenAI, while information regarding restaurants, points of interest, and locations is supported by Gemini and Google Maps, ensuring users have access to the most up-to-date information.
