The iPhone Duo was launched in Malaysia last month; if you missed the initial pre-order window, purchasing one now means the device will not reach you until the end of January 2027. Demand for Apple’s first foldable phone has been so extraordinary that the entire initial stock sold out completely.
This morning, Apple released its financial report for the previous quarter. During the Q&A session, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer, Sabih Khan, stated that production is being ramped up, though the company finds it difficult to predict when supply will be able to meet demand. Apple confirmed that demand for the iPhone Duo has been exceptional, with initial stock selling out within hours of the launch.
These supply constraints stem from procurement difficulties caused by a RAM crisis. CEO John Ternus noted that the company expects memory prices to rise further during the December quarter and beyond. Consequently, as a precautionary measure, Apple has increased its inventory levels.
