Today, many GrokBot users have complained about hitting their usage limits very quickly—much faster than before. Users who reach their 100% limit must either wait for the quota to reset the following week or upgrade their subscription plan.
At present, the company has not specified whether it has reduced usage limits for subscribers or what exactly prompted this change.
Addressing user concerns, Elon Musk stated that the operating costs for GrokBot are extremely high relative to the revenue it generates—a situation that is not ideal for the company. It remains to be seen whether other artificial intelligence companies will also take drastic measures to limit usage in order to manage the substantial computing and processing costs associated with generative AI.
