Adobe Launches Web Acrobat for PDF Editing in Browsers

Adobe brought a new page shortcut, Acrobat Web, to make it easier for users to edit PDF files. Previously, users had to edit PDFs through the Acrobat desktop application.

The features available on this shortcut page are adding a password, splitting a PDF file into several files and merging PDF files.

Previously, this was a feature used by accessing desktop applications. As long as users pay for an Acrobat subscription, users can now use the Acrobat web to edit text and images in PDFs.

“Acrobat Web is very important to us because we have more people working on browsers,” Adobe VP for Document Cloud, Todd Gerber.

The company also makes it easy to access features from the browser’s address bar.

Back in July 2020, Adobe started using the new domain. Google to create useful shortcuts for quick access to certain Acrobat web features.

With this update the company added several new shortcuts, including one that can be used to sign pdfs.

The company claims to have several challenges, one of which is that fonts make it difficult to prepare text and edit photos online.

“We could have done it sooner, but it wouldn’t have met the standards of speed, agility and quality,” he said.
