WhatsApp Tips: How to Prevent Members from Editing Group Details

By default, WhatsApp allows each group member to edit the group name, description, and display image. However, the admin can prevent if he does not want anyone to update the details without his consent.

To set it up is very easy. Here's how to prevent members from editing WhatsApp collection details:

1. Open the WhatsApp application on iPhone or Android

2. Open the WhatsApp group you want to manage

3. Press the group name at the top to enter Group Info

4. Press Group Settings

5. Press Edit Group Info

6. There will be two options that appear, select Only Admin

After that, only admins can edit group information and profile pictures in the group. As soon as the admin applies this change, WhatsApp will notify group members about it by displaying a note in the conversation.

To restore the original settings, admins can return to the "Group Settings" menu and select the "All Participants" option under "Edit Group Info".

Still in Group Settings, admins can pull members' ability to send messages in group chats. This option can be used whenever you want to post important announcements and don’t want to be buried under other conversations.

Here's how to do it by pressing the "Send Messages" tab in Groups Settings. Then select "Admin Only". Hopefully useful.
