There is good news for YouTube content creators. This video streaming service now makes it easy for content creators to change their name and profile picture, and this change does not affect their Google account.
So far, content creators have complained about the difficulty of customizing profiles. Because they must do it on the Google account page.
That doesn’t stop there, because the YouTube name is associated with the name on the Google account. This means that changing the name of a YouTube channel will change the name that will appear in the email.
This new feature offers flexibility for content creators who may prefer to send emails with their real name rather than their channel name.
There is only one important caveat when using this new feature. Google says that creators with verification badges will lose the check mark if they change their name.
As a result, the account owner must submit another application until the check mark returns. Unfortunately, it is not clear how long this process will take.
But the internet search company confirmed that this new feature can be used by both personal and company accounts. As for how to change it as follows:
Desktop
- Open YouTube
- Open the Channel
- Click the Customize Channel button
- If you want to change the picture on the Branding tab, while the name is in the Basic Information
Mobile Application
- Open the YouTube app
- Click the profile icon in the upper right corner followed by pressing Your Channel
- Then tap Edit Channel
- You can change photos and channel names instantly.
