Fun, Instagram Reels Duration Extended To 60 Seconds

Content on Instagram Reels can now be created in 60 seconds. Previously, Instagram Reels only allowed users to upload content for up to 30 seconds.
Instagram initially launched Reels with a video length limit of up to 15 seconds, and a month later extended it to 30 seconds. Reels is now almost a year part of Instagram, so it's time to receive a significant update, as quoted from The Verge, Wednesday (28/7/2021).

With the extension of this period, Instagram Reels is slowly starting to follow TikTok. Previously TikTok users could upload videos up to 60 seconds, but recently extended to three minutes.

It’s also possible Instagram will follow in TikTok’s footsteps and extend Reels ’duration to three minutes or more. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri even admits that TikTok is more awesome than Reels.

The longer Reel duration also makes it easier for creators to re -upload their TikTok videos on Instagram and reach a wider audience. The 60 -second period is also the choice of many short video services, such as YouTube Shorts and Snapchat Spotlight.

To access this feature, open the Instagram app on your phone to create a new Reel. Then tap the Length option on the left side of the screen to choose a video duration between 15 seconds, 30 seconds or 60 seconds.

Currently, not all Instagram users can access the 60 -second Reels feature. This feature is being rolled out in stages and will be available to all users in the near future.
