The Richest Man in the World Succeeds in Reaching Space

Jeff Bezos and three others who were members of the First Blue Origin Human Origin mission managed to shoot into space. The richest man in the world has managed to realize the ambitions he has dreamed of since he was little.
Bezos flew a New Shepard rocket and capsule from the Blue Origin central facility in Van Horn, Texas. On this flight Bezos was accompanied by his brother Mark, flight pioneer Wally Funk, and prospective physics student Oliver Daemen.

The New Shepard rocket carrying Bezos et al glides at speeds of up to 3,500 km / h. After that, about five minutes later, the capsule at the top was separated from the rocket and reached the Karman line which was at an altitude of 100 km.

While in the atmosphere, Bezos and the rest of the crew managed to hover for about 3 to 4 minutes in zero gravity while enjoying the view from the large window. After floating freely in the atmosphere for a few minutes, the capsule then returned to Earth and landed using a parachute.

All processes went smoothly. "This is the best day ever !," shouted Bezos as he returned to Earth. “Congratulations to all the Blue teams in the past and present for having reached this historic moment in space flight,” Blue Origin wrote on Twitter.

The split rocket also returned to the Blue Origin facility center. All launch and landing processes are done autonomously, aka without a pilot, and last for about 11 minutes.

This is the first manned flight launched by Blue Origin. After that, they will start taking tourists who have paid for tickets to go into space.

Blue Origin has not yet revealed how much the flight ticket will cost. But Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith says the next flight may launch in September or October.

The Bezos flight was launched just nine days after operator Richard Branson launched into space with a Virgin Galactic rocket.

The race for space tourism will also increase. Elon Musk as another millionaire who also owns a space tourism business also plans to fly tourists into orbit in September.
