Oxygenos is now combined to Coloros

Continuing the OnePlus merger into OPPO, both mobile operating systems have been combined, the OnePlus' Oxygenos combined with Oppo's Coloros.
The unique name of the operating system is still maintained. Oxygenos for OnePlus phones are circulating worldwide, and Coloros for OnePlus and Oppo phones in China.

Despite having different names, both operating systems have the same code base, which oneplus says will standardize the software experience and facilitate the process of developing oxygenos updates in the future.

OnePlus also said that these changes allow them to secure better Android updates in the future. This step seems to be the same as what Samsung promised to its users.

OnePlus promises its main phone, including the T and R model, will get three major Android updates and four years of security updates. Then the Nord and Nord CE series are promised to get two major Android updates and three years of security updates.

Then finally the Nord N series will get a major Android update and three years of security updates. However, this commitment is limited to the OnePlus 8 series and above.

It was reported earlier, OnePlus announced that it would immediately incorporate its organizational resources, Oppo. This is done to coordinate operations and produce better products in the future.

"As you know, last year I took additional responsibility to oversee product strategies for OnePlus and Oppo. Since then, we have incorporated some of our teams with OPPO. After seeing the positive effects of this change, we decided to integrate the organization further. We are with Oppo, "said Pete Lau, Chief Executive Officer of OnePlus on the Official Blog OnePlus.

Pete ensures that this merger will have a positive impact on the community and consumers. He also said the merger made OnePlus a sub-brand Oppo. However, it will not affect OnePlus as a brand.
