WHO Reopens Corona Virus Theory Leak from Wuhan Lab

The WHO once said that the Corona virus did not originate from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. But now they have corrected their words.
Not enthusiastic, this was said directly by WHO Director, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to reporters in Geneva, Switzerland. He said that the statement that COVID-19 did not leak from the lab was too early.

"(The conclusion that the virus didn't leak from the lab) That's too early. Lab accidents can happen and are common. I've seen things like that and checking what's going on in the lab is important," Tedros said.

Tedros said the WHO will come up with new research on the origins of COVID-19. The WHO has indeed received pressure from many quarters about the investigation into where COVID-19 came from.

"We hope there is better cooperation to get to the core of what happened," Tedros said.

WHO has sent an independent team and international experts to Wuhan in January 2021. The team is to help China find the origin of the epidemic. But Tedros said the team was unable to obtain raw data from the Chinese side.

“Raw data is not shared and now we are planning stage two for this study and we ask China to be transparent, open and cooperative, especially for the raw data we requested at the beginning of this epidemic,” he said.

A report from the WHO team in March did not get a definitive answer on the origin of the outbreak. However, there are some hypotheses that the virus jumped from bats to humans through intermediate animals. But the Corona virus theory leaked from the lab was dismissed.

The WHO report drew criticism from various quarters for not investigating allegations of leaks from Wuhan laboratories.

“We need information, direct information about the state of this lab before, at the beginning of the outbreak,” Tedros said.
