Mark Zuckerberg revealed an amazing vision of what Facebook will look like in the future. Mentioned because apparently, Facebook is no longer the same as it is now.
Facebook will be an online world where people can play games, work, and communicate in a virtual environment, aided by virtual reality (VR) headsets.
So instead of just looking, people seem to be able to enter it just like in the real world, so it’s different from now when people just look at the screen.
"That's not how people interact. A lot of the meetings we make now, we see face boxes on the screen. It's not like that we process things," said Facebook's founder and CEO.
For example later, people can immediately enter a concert in 3D format after first seeing it on screen. “You’re going to feel present with other people, having a different experience from 2 dimensions,” Mark Zuckerberg said.
Facebook is also working on an office that is accessible with VR headsets so as to present a different meeting experience as it seems as if all participants can be in the same location.
"In the future, you can sit as a hologram on my couch, or I can be a hologram on your couch. It feels like we're in the same place even though we're in different locations or a distance of hundreds of kilometers. I think it's very powerful , "he added.
Facebook under the direction of Mark Zuckerberg invested heavily in the virtual reality business in hopes of being used by as many users as possible. They bought the company that develops VR products, Oculus, for $ 2 billion.
So far, VR is not so well known to many people, maybe the situation will be different in the future.
