Twitter is not a place to share videos, therefore Twitter does not have a feature that allows users to download videos directly from the web or its application. But that doesn't mean videos on Twitter can't be downloaded because there are many ways to save viral videos on Twitter.
Usually users who want to share a video on Twitter with their family or friends must send it at once with the tweet link. Or not, if you want to keep it yourself, you have to use a screen record, save the recording, edit it, then save it to your phone or computer.
But these steps are quite complicated and sometimes the quality of the stored video is not so good. Luckily there is an easy way to download Twitter videos without the need for additional apps.
How to download Twitter videos without the help of an app:
Go to the SaveTweetVid or TwitterVideoDownloader site on your mobile or computer browser. These are the two most frequently used third-party sites for downloading videos from Twitter and they work the same way.
Open the Twitter tweet containing the video you want to download. You can open it via the Twitter web or mobile application on Android and iOS.
Copy the link to the tweet. If the tweet is open in a browser, all you have to do is copy the link in the address bar. If the tweet is open in the mobile app, tap the Share icon then select 'Copy link to Tweet'.
After copying the link, return to the browser that opened the SaveTweetVid or TwitterVideoDownloader page. Enter the copied tweet link into the given URL field and click 'Download'.
Either SaveTweetVid or TwitterVideoDownloader will display three video options that can be downloaded according to their quality. Select the video you want to download, then click Download.
Videos from Twitter will be downloaded automatically. If the video instead displays in a new tab and doesn't download right away, right-click and select 'Save video as' if you're using a computer. If you're using a browser on your phone, press and hold the video then select 'Download video'.
The video from Twitter has been successfully downloaded and is already stored on your computer or mobile. You are also free to share the video with other family and friends who may not have a Twitter account.
