iPhone 12 Speaker Troubled, Apple Offers Free Repair

Apple confirmed that there was a speaker issue on the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, where the speakers couldn't make a sound when making phone calls.

Apple confirmed this while offering free repairs for iPhone 12 and 12 Pro units experiencing the problem. Apple claims only a small number of units are experiencing the problem.

Oh yes, this problematic unit is a unit that was produced between October 2020 to April 2021.

"This new program is not for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max models," Apple wrote.

Before the iPhone is serviced, Apple insists that the phone will be inspected first. It aims to verify that it is eligible for this new program.

They remind that before repairing, back up data to iCloud or a computer. So that files that users think are important, don't just disappear.

There are other important things to pay attention to. If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro has physical damage, such as a cracked screen, that could interfere with service, it must be repaired first.

"In some cases, there may be additional costs associated with repairs beyond this new program," Apple wrote.

To enjoy the free service, users can do so with three options, namely:

Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider

Make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store

Contact Apple Support, to set up inbound mail service, through a repair center

Meanwhile, the latest information also comes from Apple, regarding Netflix support which provides Spatial Audio. Later, it will slide on the iPhone and iPad.

This support aims to provide an immersive experience for users, to use directional audio filters. A spokesperson for the movie streaming service has confirmed that they are serving Spatial Audio on iPhone and iPad versions of iOS 14.

However, this feature is exclusive to AirPods Pro and AirPod Max. So, in order to experience its features, you have to use one of these devices.
