I can't believe it's been about 10 months since Jack Ma disappeared. Indeed he appeared several times, but was not known to many. He never spoke as usual and the exact location is unknown.

October 2020 was indeed the last time Jack Ma made a public speech as he criticized China’s outdated government financial system. Since then he has never appeared again and his two companies, Alibaba and Ant Group, have been harassed by the Chinese government.
Last January, Jack Ma appeared after almost 3 months of being absent from public view. The Alibaba founder met with 100 rural teachers in China via an online video meeting, but his whereabouts are unknown.
In mid -April, he appeared with Vladimir Putin. He took the time to attend an online meeting of the Russian Geographical Society. Yet, like previous appearances, it is not known exactly where Jack Ma is and at all he is not speaking.
In mid -May, Jack Ma finally made a physical appearance where he was seen visiting Alibaba’s Hangzhou headquarters to coincide with the company’s annual event for employees and their families. But not much of the footage of him was there.
"What we don't know is what happened to this man. There is no appearance of his that shows his true fate, just the fact that he is still alive," said Forbes columnist George Calhoun.
In mid -June, Alibaba’s Deputy CEO Joe Tsai, who is also a friend of Jack Ma, stated his fate, presumably to reassure the public. "He avoids the spotlight at the moment, I talk to him every day," Tsai said.
He added that Jack Ma currently likes to do his hobby. "He's really good, very good. He paints as a hobby, his painting is pretty good," Tsai said.
"He built this large -scale company. He did a lot of things for the community. I think today he just wanted to say, hey, I want to focus on spending my time the way I want, which is also a hobby, philanthropy."
But people may not be satisfied and still wonder until Jack Ma actually shows up and speaks. For now, his fate is still speculation.
