Steve Jobs Job Application Letter Sold For Nearly USD 343,000

Recently, Steve Jobs ’rare job application letter was auctioned in two versions, a physical version and a digital version sold as a non-fungible token (NFT). The auction is now over and the cover letter is being sold at a very good price.
The physical version auctioned was a job application letter filled out and signed by Jobs in 1973. The document was auctioned through the Snoofa website and sold for USD 343,000, as quoted from Apple Insider

While the NFT version is sold at a price of 12 Ethereum or about USD 23,000 after being auctioned through the Rarible site. The organizer of the auction, Olly Joshi, said that the app was auctioned in NFT form as an attempt to compare physical and NFT auctions.

Given the higher selling price of the physical version, it seems Steve Jobs fans are still looking for the physical version of the memorabilia. If buying through NFT, the auction winner will only receive a digital ‘certificate’ stating that they are the owner of the item.

Jobs' own job application letter has been auctioned several times before. The letter was auctioned in 2018 and sold for USD 175,000, and then auctioned again in May 2021 for USD 223,000.

Not much information is known about this Apple founder’s cover letter. Jobs filled out this application when he was 18 and educated at Reed College.

The cover letter stated that Jobs was proficient in using computers and calculators, and understood technology and design. Jobs then withdrew from Reed College after six months, but continued to attend classes for one and a half years.

Memories of jobs and early Apple devices are always sold at great prices at auction. For example, their first computer, the Apple-1, sold for $ 1 million in 2014.
