Comparison of the iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 12 Pro which is similarly insinuated

iPhone 13 was officially introduced with several models like last year. One of them is the iPhone 13 Pro which will probably be a lot of choices because it is not as expensive as the iPhone 13 Pro Max but more sophisticated than the standard iPhone 13. So, how does it compare to the iPhone 12 Pro? Check out the following:

Design

The iPhone 13 Pro is similar in design to the iPhone 12 Pro, with a flat frame, glass material on the back and three camera lenses in the upper left corner. The frame is also made of stainless steel and has a notch.

However, the iPhone 13 Pro's notch is smaller than the iPhone 12 Pro's and this is probably the only difference that stands out the most. iPhone 13 Pro like iPhone 12 Pro is also IP68 certified so it is water and dust resistant.

Screen

iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch Super XDR Retina display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels, with a density of 460ppi (pixels per inch). ProMotion technology is also embedded which offers an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, just like the latest iPad Pro.

While the iPhone 12 Pro has the same screen and resolution, 6.1 inch Super XDR Retina 2532 x 1170 pixels with a density of 460ppi (pixels per inch). However, the screen refresh rate is still the standard 60Hz.

Specification

iPhone 13 Pro runs the latest processor which is certainly more capable, namely A15 Bionic accompanied by the latest generation of Neural Engine and 5-core GPU. While the internal storage consists of at least 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and a maximum of 1 TB.

The iPhone 12 Pro processor is A14 Bionic along with the fourth generation Neural Engine and 4-core GPU. There are three internal storage options, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, there is no 1 TB option yet.

Camera

In all iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro models including the Pro Max, the camera resolution is the same and consists of three units. Each resolution is a 12 megapixel wide, 12 megapixel ultra wide, and 12 megapixel telephoto main camera.

Both the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max feature three new lenses, one f/1.5 main sensor, an f/1.8 ultra wide sensor and an f/2.8 telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom. There are new features such as Cinematic Video mode, Photographic Styles and others.

While the iPhone 12 Pro lens consists of an f/1.6 main sensor, an f/2.4 ultra-wide sensor and an f/2.0 telephoto sensor with 4x optical zoom. Of course, with this, photography on the iPhone 13 Pro is more beautiful. The front camera of the iPhone 13 Pro and 12 Pro are both 12 megapixel TrueDepth, but the notch on the iPhone 13 is smaller.

Conclusion

By design, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can be said to be the same except for the notch. iPhone 13 Pro brings improvements in almost every aspect of the inside including a more responsive screen, extra features in the camera, a more powerful processor and a longer battery life.

But the iPhone 12 Pro doesn't seem to be out of date and I don't think there's a very strong reason to replace it with the iPhone 12 Pro unless you really don't want to miss the trend.
