Battlefield 2042
Release Date
Battlefield 2042 will be released on November 19, 2021. The game will be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Origin, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The launch itself changes from the original plan, which they had previously announced for October 22. The reason is because the pandemic that occurred affected the performance of the development team.
So they have to try, work on everything from their respective homes. DICE Studio is also doing support so that this game can crossplay between PC and console.
Early Access and Open Beta
Even though the release date has been delayed, however, players can try early access to Battlefield 2042 which has been open from October 6 to October 7. Then followed by open beta which opened on October 8-9.
Previously, this news had leaked from a well-known game leaker, Tom Henderson. He revealed that these dates had not initially been shared with the media or creators.
In fact, what Henderson said via Twitter, came true. The open beta itself was supposed to open in September and was delayed until October.
"Building Battlefield 2042 for next-gen consoles during the pandemic, presented an unexpected challenge for the development team. We hope the team can return to the studio together, as we approach launch," wrote Oskar Gabrielson GM DICE Studio.
PC Specifications
Before trying to download this game, make sure the PC owned by the gamer is capable. Because if you look at the console, the available games have been adapted to the PS4 and PS5 platforms.
Unlike the computer, where the player must prepare the appropriate components. In a sense, at least you can run Battlefield 2042 at the minimum.
