Acer has a new product line called Vero, which was released at the Next@Acer 2021 event, which is an environmentally friendly product. What are the advantages of Vero, this environmentally friendly electronic product?
One of its products is the Aspire Vero, which is made using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic as well as packaging that can be recycled. In addition, this product line is also easy to disassemble, which makes the repair and upgrade process easier.
In more detail, the Vero chassis contains 30% PCR plastic, and is claimed to reduce CO2 emissions by 21%. Meanwhile, the keycaps for the keyboard contain 50% PCR plastic, then the sales package is 100% recyclable, and can also be used as a DIY laptop stand.
In fact, its 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen (Vero AV15-51) is promised 99% recyclable. As the brain, the 11th generation Intel Core processor was chosen and paired with an Iris X graphics card. Also equipped with features such as WiFI 6, USB-C, two USB-A.
There is also a variant for business purposes, namely TravelMate Vero (TMV-51), which uses an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB DDR RAM, and 1TB SSD. This laptop is also equipped with an enterprise-class TPM chip for data security, and is supported by biometric authentication in Windows 11 Pro.
Another Vero product line is the Veriton Vero Mini, which is a desktop PC for enterprise use, whose casing is made of 25% PCR plastic. This PC has complete connectivity, namely Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) which is fast and stable as well as additional USB and display ports, USB 3.2 gen 2 type C.
Lastly is the VeroBR277, an eco-friendly monitor with a body made of 50% PCR plastic. This monitor also has environmental certifications from ENERGY STAR, TCO, and EPEAT.
There is also a ComfyView feature, which is produced through a non-glare and flicker less panel, and can be dimmed up to 15%. There is also the Acer BlueLightShield which can reduce blue light to the user's eyes. Oh yes, the sales packaging is 100% recyclable.
At the global press conference, apart from introducing the Vero line, Andrew Hou, President of Acer's Pan-Asia Pacific Operations, also announced his success in leading the market in the thin and light laptop category on the market.
"During 2021 until August, he showed his leadership in the thin and light laptop market with a market share of up to 36.2%," he said in a statement received by us. He also added that revenue from the gaming sector during Q3 2021 also rose YoY by 76%.
