Technology company Seagate has revealed the new Storage Expansion Cards, in 2TB and 512GB sizes. Even so, the price offered is almost equivalent to the value of the Xbox Series X.
The numbers touch USD 399.99 , for the 2TB version on pre-order in November and the 1TB for USD 219.99 . While the 512GB model costs USD 139.
"Storage Expansion Card will be launched in mid-November. For other markets and availability, can be checked at local retailers in each region. While 2TB storage will be released in early December," wrote Pamelang Wang, PM Designed Xbox.
When reviewing the price of this console made by Microsoft, the rate is USD 499. Then for the Xbox Series X, it's lower, which is USD 299.
Thus, the price of this card, is almost close to the amount offered for the next-gen console platform. However, they revealed that for now, the supply is only available at Walmart, the United States region.
To use the Seagate Storage Expansion Card, simply plug the card into the Expansion port on the back of the console. Then in practice, players can use similar to other external storage.
Gamers can install games onto the card by default or play directly from it. Then also can move or copy games between internal and external storage.
"The only difference is that this Storage Expansion Card is designed to match the internal storage performance of the Xbox Series X/S," Wang wrote.
This hardware, can be a solution for gamers who want to hoard a lot of games on their Xbox Series X/S console. Plus, the size of game titles is currently very large.
