Oppo prepares mobile phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in early 2022

 


After Xiaomi and Realme, Oppo also adopted the new flagship chipset Qualcomm announced. This Chinese vendor ensures that his Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone will be released in the early quarter of 2022.

That way Oppo will be one of the vendors who are the first adopters of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on their devices. However, unlike Xiaomi and Realme, Oppo seems to be still shy about revealing what cellphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 successor chipset.


Oppo only expressed confidence that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will bring improvements to the devices it makes.


"We believe this will bring tremendous improvements and powerful performance to the next generation of flagship smartphones," said Scott Zhang, Oppo's Vice President of Overseas Sales.


Not only that, Oppo will continue to work closely with Qualcomm to accelerate 5G development and explore the future of innovation in smartphones.


Since its commercialization, 5G networks are gaining popularity rapidly all over the world. Oppo continues to collaborate with Qualcomm and other industry collaborators to promote the construction of SA's 5G network and accelerate the commercialization of 5G worldwide.


To prove it, Oppo became the first company to use the Snapdragon mobile platform to commercialize its SA network in Europe in April 2021.


To date, Oppo has partnered with more than 80 major mobile network operators worldwide. As many as 40 of them are collaborating in delivering 5G services.


These joint initiatives have ushered in significant business development in regional markets such as Europe, Latin America and South Africa. Therefore Oppo reaffirms its commitment to continue collaborating with Qualcomm to continue 5G development
