Truecaller Gets Big Update, What's New?

Truecaller, the spam phone filter app, was updated to version 12, and got a big feature addition. What are the new features?

Although the app is available for both Android and iOS, Truecaller specifically states that this update is aimed at Android users. Its biggest feature addition is Video Caller ID.

With this feature, users can set Truecaller to show videos to their contacts when they make a call. Then Truecaller also presents the Call Recording feature, which can be accessed by non-paid users.

Call Recording was originally introduced as a Premium only feature, but is now back and available to everyone with an Android 5.1 or later device.

With Call Recording users can record incoming and outgoing calls on the device, regardless of whether the device already has a recording feature or not. Users can listen to or delete recordings with Truecaller or use file search.

Then another update is the separation between the calls and messages tab, which makes it easier for users to see a list of incoming calls and messages.

Especially for paid users aka Premium, Truecaller will speak aloud the caller ID of incoming calls. This works for both stored contacts as well as for numbers identified by Truecaller on normal voice calls and Truecaller HD Voice calls.

Finally there is a feature called Ghost Call, which is also available for Premium users. Ghost call is a clever trick to help Truecaller users get out of uncomfortable situations or play harmless pranks on friends. With Ghost Call, users can set names, numbers and photos that appear as if they were receiving a call from that person.

If you want, you can also select the contacts you have in your phone. You can also schedule when you want to receive a Ghost Call. Ghost Call is only available for Premium and Gold subscribers.

"This latest version incorporates several of the features suggested by our critical users and launched to ensure a more enjoyable communication experience for users, as well as enabling them to better deal with spam call threats," said Alan Mamedi, Co-founder & CEO, Truecaller. , in the information we have received.
