Steam Deck Won't Serve Exclusive Games

Valve recently revealed that they will not be offering exclusive games on the Steam Deck. According to them, it doesn't make sense.

"No, it doesn't make sense to us. This is a PC and it should be like playing games on a PC," Valve wrote, as quoted by us from the Steam Deck FAQ, Friday (12/3/2021).

Even so, Valve said it had worked with Unity and Epic. It's just that, just to make sure Unreal Engine and Unity have the right integration, so that playing using the Steam Deck becomes smoother.

"Going forward, we hope that there will be improvements to the engine over time. So it integrates with our developer tools and makes it a good target for Steam Deck," wrote Valve.

Please note, although this handheld PC supports the use of microSD. However, this does not apply to external GPUs. Because Valve has said not to include it.

It is known that Steam Deck has three variants, with different internal storage space. The price offered is also not the same.

Gamers can bring it by paying an amount of USD 399 for 64GB. Then USD 529 for 256GB. While the internal storage of 512GB, sold at a price of USD 649.

But unfortunately, fans who have been waiting for Steam Deck, seem to have to be a little more patient. Since Valve officially announced, their gaming platform has been postponed to February 2022.

"We apologize about this. We are doing our best to address the supply issue. But due to material shortages, we were unable to make it on time from the initial launch date," wrote Steam Deck on the official Steam website.
