Xiaomi is said to be using an under-display front camera, aka the camera will be stored under the screen, on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
This information comes from a leaked video containing a demonstration of MIUI 13, in which the video shows a phone that doesn't look like any current Xiaomi phone, which leads to the assumption that the phone is from the Xiaomi 12 series.
The phone has slightly curved edges, thin bezels, and no front camera hole, which means that the front camera will be tucked away under the screen.
Interestingly, the mysterious cellphone is also not equipped with an earpiece, or a hole for a speaker. Maybe Xiaomi will re-apply the piezoelectric speaker technology they used in the first generation Mi Mix.
But it could also be that the MIUI 13 demonstration video was made digitally, and the camera hole was deliberately not shown in order to show MIUI clearly, not because the device does not have a hole for the front camera.
Xiaomi itself is said to be releasing the Xiaomi 12 in the near future. To be precise, there are three Xiaomi 12 series that will be released, namely Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

The cases for the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro look the same, and match what we already know about these phones. From the camera module, you can see that there is one large hole for the main camera and three small holes that are likely for the other two cameras and the flash.
The most eye-catching is the case for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra due to its very strange camera design. The camera module is in the form of a large circle placed in the center and there are eight holes, which may not all be for the camera lens.
In the center of the module there is a large circular hole. The big hole is surrounded by seven other holes with different shapes and dimensions.
Speculation about the specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra camera was immediately crowded after the camera module design was leaked. If the two holes are used for the main camera and flash, it means that there are still six more holes that must be filled.
Other possible cameras that will be carried are periscope lenses, ultrawide, and depth sensors. While the other three holes may be filled by sensors with specific functions.
