Leaked Shape of iPhone SE 3 Similar to iPhone XR Circulating, But ...

The iPhone SE 3 will reportedly be Apple's first device released this year, but its shape and specifications are still very mysterious. The latest leak shows the design rendering of the iPhone SE 3, but there are a few suspicious things.

This rendering came from leaker David Kowalski and was shared by the TenTechReview site. Kowalski claims the rendering was made based on CAD drawings and leaked dimensions.

From the rendering, it looks like a phone that from the back is similar to the iPhone SE 2020 complete with a rear camera. The dimensions are also reported to be similar, namely 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm.

But on the other hand, you can see a mobile phone with a more modern design. If the iPhone SE 2020 still has a thick bezel and a Home button, the iPhone SE 3 renders the phone with notches and a full screen.

At first glance this design is similar to the iPhone XR, but with a smaller screen. TenTechReview claims the screen size of the iPhone SE 3 is 5.69 inches, as quoted from BGR, Monday (17/1/2022).

TenTechReview also warned in its report that Kowalski sources said that the design of this notch has not been 100%confirmed. Given that this rumor contradicts other iPhone SE 3 rumors that have been circulating, this render is a bit suspicious.

Several trusted analysts ranging from Ming-Chi Kuo, Ross Young, and Mark Gurman all say that the iPhone SE 3 will have the same design as the iPhone SE 2020. The screen will measure 4.7 inches with a Home button, just like its predecessor.

Changes brought only from the internal side. Apple looks like it will pin the A14 Bionic chip and 5G support, so the iPhone SE 3 will have a more modern interior.

It's possible that this rendering actually came from a leaked CAD drawing, but not for this year's iPhone SE release. Earlier, leaker @Dylan said that Apple planned to release the iPhone SE with a similar design to the iPhone XR, but the launch was postponed until 2024.
