Samsung's future revealed at CES 2022: sophisticated & environmentally friendly

 


Want to know what the development of Samsung Electronics technology is in 2022. They develop advanced environmentally friendly technology to all its devices.

This was revealed by Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of DX (Device Experience) Division Samsung, Jong-hee Han in Keynote Speech Samsung at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 in Las Vegas, as witnessed Wednesday (5/1/2021). Han said Samsung was aware of the negative impact of technological advancements to the environment and the sustainability of the Earth.


"Innovation can create a positive change, work together for the future, Together for Tomorrow. This development will make sustainability be part of your experience using our products," Han said.


Samsung said it has reduced 700,000 tons of carbon emissions from the production of memory chips and CARBON TRUST certified. In 20212, all cardboard for Samsung TV was recycled.


In 2022, styrofoam and plastic in the Samsung product packaging box will also use recycling including various packaging home electronic products from vacuum cleaner to water purifier. Samsung also announced the eco-packaging program where the former cardboard box was processed into furniture such as cat houses and decorative tables.




Samsung develops remote solarcell, remote TV without battery that can be charged with radio frequency from a wifi router from close range. This is to reduce world battery waste. Solarcell remote is made open source and can be developed by another party.


In 2025, all TV and smartphone chargers will have a standby power approaching zero. In addition, through the Galaxy For The Planet platform, Samsung collected 5 million tons of electronic waste since 2009. Samsung also works with Patagonia developing washing machine technology that filters microplastics.
