Asus exhibited a series of newest gaming laptops on the Republic of Gamers line at the CES 2022 event. Some of them attracted attention was Rog Zephyrus G14, Rog Zephyrus G15, and Rog Zephyrus Duo 16.
Zephyrus G14 and G15 bring a lot of improvements in terms of specifications and features. One of its biggest improvements is the presence of infrared webcam that is integrated with Windows Hello.
Both of these laptops previously did not have a webcam. Asus said gamers were not so much about the absence of a webcam on this laptop, but a combination of scraping screen panels and smaller cameras made this feature be included in the laptop.
The Zephyrus G14 design is enhanced by carrying off a trackpad that is 50% larger, a smaller screen bezel, and a mini-LED on the outside that can display the dot-matrix animation more smoothly and brighter.
In terms of performance, Zephyrus G14 brings a large enough upgrade. This laptop uses the latest Ryzen 6000 chip from AMD and supports up to Ryzen 9 6900HS. The graphics are handled by Radeon RX 6800S.
This laptop has the Mux Switches feature that allows users to change between integrated graphics or discrete. The cooling was enhanced thanks to the new Vapor Chamber, Liquid Metal on the CPU and GPU, the filter of debut, and a fan with higher airflow.
In terms of the screen, Zephyrus G14 carries a 14-inch screen with a ratio of 16:10 and QHD resolution. This screen also supports 120Hz refresh rate, brightness of up to 500 nits, and Dolby Vision support.
If you want a more battery and saving variant in the bag, ASUS also offers a version with 1080p, 144Hz resolution, and a 450 nits brightness level.
Talk about the battery, Zephyrus G14 is equipped with a 67Wh battery. Asus claims this battery can last up to 10 hours to play videos.
Switch to his brother Zephyrus G15, a laptop whose size is larger equipped with a processor to AMD Ryzen 6900HS and graphics handled by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 IT.

The screen still has a ratio of 16: 9 and is present at the QHD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and the brightness level of 300 nits. This laptop screen also supports Dolby Vision and Adaptive Sync and and certification from Pantone.
Asus complements this laptop with a 90Wh battery. This battery is claimed to be ASUS can last up to 14 hours to watch videos.
Both Zephyrus G14 and G15 both support DDR5 RAM up to 32GB and SSD PCIE 4.0 to 1TB. Both of them also have two USB-C 32 genes 2 ports, two USB-A 32 gene 2, HDMI 2.0B, MicroSD card reader and Jack headphone.
Asus has not revealed the price of Zephrus G14 and Zephyrus G15. Both of these new laptops will be available in mid or late in 2022.
Next there is Zephyrus Duo 16 which matches his name carrying two screens. This laptop combines a 16-inch main screen with a touch screen at the bottom of 14.1 inch.
This second screen is called Rog Screenpad Plus that can be raised when the laptop screen is opened. This second screen can be tilted at a 13 degree angle to touch the bottom of the main screen, so it looks like a jumbo-sized screen.
ASUS offers two display options for Zephyrus Duo 16. The first variant offers QHD resolution with a ratio of 16:10 and a 165Hz refresh rate. This screen uses a mini-LED panel that can reach the brightness of up to 1,100 nits.

The second option is the Dual SPEC panel developed by Asus with the BOE. This variant offers a screen with a 4K resolution with a 120Hz or 1080p refresh rate with a 240Hz refresh rate. There is also a Mux Switch feature that can switch from integrated graphics to discrete.
Because it is intended for gaming and making content, Zephyrus Duo 16 is certainly equipped with upscale specifications. This laptop supports the processor to AMD Ryzen 9 6980Hx and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 IT graphics.
This innards combined with DDR5 RAM up to 32 GB and SSD PCIe NVMe Gen 4 to 2TB. Asus said Zephyrus Duo 16 will be available in the first quarter of 2022, but the price has not been announced.
In addition to three laptops above, Asus also updated the Rog Strix Scar Line 15/17 and Rog Strix G15 / G17. Rog Strix Scar 15 and Scar 17 are now carrying Intel Core i9-12900H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 IT.
Meanwhile ROG STRIX G15 and G17 comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and graphics from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Both of these models are equally present with a 15.6 inch screen and 17.3 inch with display options from 1080p 300Hz to 1440p 240Hz.
